On Tuesday, November 30th, STRANGE FRUIT NO MORE is joining non-profits around the world on the biggest giving day of the year, Giving Tuesday. Check out the video above to learn more about our why, our work and the ways you can support our efforts.
We are the backbone organization of a collective impact movement. We are on a journey to inspire, affect and lead transformational, systemic change so that Black youth and young adults in Los Angeles County never again feel like the STRANGE FRUIT described in the song of the same title made popular by Billie Holiday.
We employ a ripple-out approach to systems change, focusing on the needs, concerns, hopes, and aspirations of Black youth and young adults to transform the systems that impact their lives.
We facilitate programs connecting Black youth and young adults to people and opportunities to transform their lives and the world around them.
We invest in ventures and initiatives led by Black youth and young adults.
We unite people across organizations and sectors to collaborate on systems change initiatives.
The women who power STRANGE FRUIT NO MORE believe that we must all see ourselves as part of the success of Black youth and young adults. They are driven by the idea that when Black youth and young adults win, society wins. Meet Jina Kim and Monique Epps.
You can help us build a better Los Angeles for Black youth and young adults with a donation today. Your gift to STRANGE FRUIT NO MORE is 100% tax-deductible and will enable us to expand our work.
Join our mailing list to stay abreast of upcoming events, activities and volunteer opportunities.
